Strictly Sparkle
If like most of the nation you are a fan of the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, then you will have surely tuned in Saturday night to watch the launch of the 15th series.
At Butler & Wilson we adore the show, not only for the incredible routines, bright colours, spectacular costumes and endless amount of glitter but we also love watching the dancers and the judges model some of our very own pieces.
We have an ongoing relationship with the hit show, and have been loaning out our jewellery for years to the contestants and the judges. This includes the lovely ballet dancer, Darcey Bussell, who comes to our flagship store to choose her pieces from our sparkly cabinets.
If you have watched previous series’ you will have seen plenty of Butler & Wilson pieces sparkling across the dance floor. At Butler & Wilson we take great pride in our unique flamboyant designs, which work particularly well on Strictly as we always have spectacular accessories to accompany the stunning outfits.
The fist episode of the new series aired at 7pm on Saturday night, with new head judge Shirley Ballas, often referred to as ‘the Queen of Latin’, making a fabulous entrance, hitting the dance floor in style. Ballas has come in to replace Lenn Goodman after he retired last year.
The main event of the curtain raising show was the beautifully moving tribute to the former host Sir Bruce Forsyth, who sadly passed away three weeks ago. Following a moving montage, the professional dancers performed an elegant classical routine to "Fly Me to the Moon".
Below, you will see some of our pieces that have previously featured on the show:
With the 15th series off to a spectacular start, we can’t wait to see what else the coming weeks have to offer and how the dancers progress. We are also very much looking forward to seeing our very own pieces dazzle across the dance floor! Keep your eyes peeled for some iconic Butler & Wilson designs and don’t forget, if you see something you like you can find it online or in store.
